Abstract
The research explores the application of CLIL methodology in Business English classes, aiming to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing students’ language acquisition. For this research, an experiment utilizing the CLIL approach was conducted followed by the administration of a Likert-scale questionnaire to 32 students from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana. The participants included both Bachelor’s and Master’s students specializing in Finance, Business Administration, and Accounting. The findings of the study indicate that CLIL plays a significant role by promoting learning in two directions: general English language acquisition and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) within a business context. This dual focus equips students with the skills needed to meet future professional demands. Additionally, CLIL enhances cultural awareness and engages students in the global business environment, preparing them for effective communication in a professional setting where understanding international practices is crucial. Through activities such as case studies, simulations, and discussions on topics like marketing and finance, instructors can successfully implement CLIL, to ensure that students develop both linguistic proficiencyand practical business knowledge.
