Abstract
Emotions are an integral part of human behavior and experience. The definition and expression of emotions through various tools and methods have been explored since early studies. While emotions can manifest in many forms, verbal communication plays a central role. Analyzing and elaborating on the language of sports articles in a comparative study between two languages is not simplya transition from one linguistic structure to another; rather, it involves a re-interpretation of the cultural and historical features embedded in language. This proces reflects a shift from one tradition to another form of communication, narration, and the transmission of emotional charge and expressiveness. This article examines how emotional experience is conveyed and expressed in sports newspaper articles through verbal communication. It explores how emotions such as victory, defeat, happiness, and sadness, are articulated, and what linguistic and expressive tools are employed to convey emotions in the field of sports. Additionally, teh article seeks to identify how positive and negative emotions are described and labeled through linguistic means. The primary source for this study are sports newspaper articles in Albanian and German.
